Petition for Turing
November 14th, 2009 by Liesl received No Comments »I was glad to read in CNN that there are efforts underway to seek an official apology for the appalling treatment of Alan Turing by the country he served so well in the name of heteronormative bollocks.
While I can’t sign myself (not living in the UK and all), I hope he gets the greater recognition he deserves as a brilliant thinker and that the impact of his ideas on the history of computers, communications and philosophy is more widely observed and studied.
